Flooded Cafe
A downloadable game for Windows
Flooded Cafe
A cozy desktop-idle game about keeping one small, warm room alive over a quiet flooded city.
It lives ON your desktop — a transparent, always-on-top little window in the corner. Clicks outside the cafe pass straight through to your work, so it just sits there being cozy while you do other things.
Chilling, serve a coffee, decorate your cafe, fish junks out of the current, while you working on your daily tasks.
# Flooded Café — v0.74
A “living café” update — the waterfront feels busier, small moments now ask for your call, the café reacts to rain, and you can arrange your windows the way you like. Here’s what changed since v0.73.
New
Little moments to decide — small choice cards now drift in from time to time: a regular’s favor, a risky chance, or a quiet decision. They never pause the café, and letting them pass is always okay.
Clickable café objects — tap the espresso machine to pull a shot, or click Kanya’s repair bench to open repair jobs.
Shelter from the rain — covered decks now make rainy days cozier, drawing better crowds and slightly higher tips from settled-in guests.
Movable windows — drag the café console or menu anywhere on your desktop. The café remembers your layout, and Reset Layout restores the default.
News at the counter — the console now has a scrolling news ticker with canal-town notices, plus steels and earnings-per-minute in ambient view. It can also be moved to a bottom strip in Settings.
A livelier canal — customers, passers-by, and strollers now move through the waterfront from both sides, with soft shadows to help separate waiting guests from the crowd.
A coin on the current — stray coins sometimes drift by. Catch them while you can.
A warm welcome back — your first return each day now includes a gentle greeting in the while-you-were-away summary.
Improved
A deeper upper street — pedestrians, cars, and trains now sit at better depth, with evening lamps and lit windows after dark.
Clearer sound mix — ambient music, rain, and city murmur were regenerated and rebalanced, with new Rain and City volume sliders.
More distant life — you’ll now hear subtle background details like chatter, cars, metro sounds, footsteps, and canal boats.
Fairer queue filling — the line now fills based on who reaches the counter first, avoiding empty gaps up front.
More overheard lines — regulars and passers-by have more waiting and post-service dialogue.
Compact choice cards — choice cards now shrink neatly in compact and mini console layouts.
Better décor placement sound — placing décor now has its own soft thunk, separate from the buying coin chime.
Tidier panels — Settings and console layouts were cleaned up, with better tab sizing and a simpler console header.
Fixed
Better screen anchoring — the café now stays aligned on tall monitors, fullscreen, and different window shapes, anchoring neatly to the bottom-right.
Events keep running — New Game and save reloads no longer disable choice moments for the session.
Menu clipping fixed — the menu now opens fully without needing to be nudged.
Cleaner window frame — removed an old unused drag prototype and fixed panel layering issues.
Also includes assorted layout and depth tidies across the café and upper street.
THE LOOP
• Brew and serve the customers who drift in — tips keep the lights on.
• Salvage junk from the water and turn it into materials.
• Spend your steels on upgrades and decor that visibly change your cafe.
• Fix things at Kanya's repair bench; meet the regulars, each with a small story that unfolds as you play.
• Equip Artifacts to activate passive perks.

A LIVING CORNER
Day slides into night, rain passes over the awning, the city murmurs in the distance, lamps and windows glow after dark, and customers linger in the seats you place.
Once in a while, there going to be regulars that come to share you a story, on some conditions.
THE REGULARS

The flood took the city's lower districts. Your little counter stays lit — and people start to find it, some eventually becomes Regulars. Right now I have 6. But absolutely going to add more to around 30~ ish.
The flood guided him to your deck. He blesses the corners, shows you the ropes, and moves on. "May your small fire warm many travelers."
Mira — Route Scout
She walks the canals before the boatmen dare to. Your cafe is now a chalk mark on her wet map: dry step, warm cup, no questions asked.
Kanya — Junk Mechanic
She sees parts where others see trash. Asks to set up a repair bench "just temporarily." Temporarily might mean forever.
Ploy — Signal Keeper
Ties relays to anything that stops moving. Three boats pinged from your wet corner — congratulations, you're infrastructure now. Tiny, caffeinated infrastructure.
Nami — Slum Schoolgirl
Collects what the city throws away. Down here the smog seals over the sky — but she's building something to catch one real star through the gap.
Binni — Town Archiver
Brisk, dry, official. She files your cafe under "Useful Refusals" — the first entry. Watched fondly, for the record.
Their conversation are logged to the archive tabs, where you can also see hints on unlocking their next conversations.

WHY FLOODED?
Its my likings-yearns for ocean soul... kk, I happen to love the flooded city setting, that merge with reallistic construction juxtaposition between old infrastructure on the old world meets with new construct - thrive to live infrastructure on the flooded occasion of the world, causing by massive meteor - climate change, available farm lands, shelter, suitable land for human drastically decrease, technology would be extremely important.
Well All of these just to yap my city concept here -
Which is the city in my currently halt Novel that I write on Royal Road, kindly follows here ( gonna continue after a while )
https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/165189/okeanos-returnal

The First plan was a Manga from it, but after 3 chapters, it's too much to draw by hands, like FR, so figured I need 3d, then it starts scope up to 3d game (yes) and that is also on halt, to finish the world - setting - relations writing, and this game, which is the spin-off of the main storyline.
So after full major release on this game is done, We are going to see some of the Major Storyline ( Okeanos returnal ) game - novel getting continue!
Made by me, my friends, and AI assistance - Sound generation, Art ideation-compositing choices generation, placeholders.
Released version
- v0.71 First Public release
- v0.72 Ambient Mode, Scene polish
- v0.73 Balance, Prestige unlocks (Current)
Planned 2 Major version
- v1.0 Major - Steam demo version
- v2.0 Major - Steam Major release version
- v2.x Minor - Steam Minor bug-fix version
